Wellford, South Carolina

Mr. Charles D. Staggs, husband of Linda J. Staggs, son of the late Charles O. and Lillie Ruth Staggs, passed Sunday, October 13, 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a Deacon and member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  He was known in the sporting community for all the years of officiating and dedication to the South Carolina High School League and other organizations.  Charles was a United States Army Veteran.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories including his wife Linda J., for over 56 years, include his children, Taryta C. (Gerald) Bonds of Boiling Springs, SC, Tyshawn D. (Regina) Staggs of Inman, SC and Travis A. (Desiree) Staggs of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Cora Scott and Charlena Tinsley both of Wellford, SC and Carolyn Glenn of Greer, SC; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, 12:00 Noon at Wellford Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Shiloh Baptist Church.  Public viewing will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.  Please keep the Staggs family in your prayers.
