Mr. Charles Edward Moss was born to the late Charles William and Geneva Mills Moss on October 4, 1945. He departed his natural life on August 23, 2020.
Charles was a member of Greater St. James Temple of Inman, SC where he served as a member of the Trustee Board, Usher Board, sang on the Sanctuary Choir and the Brotherhood Choir.
He graduated from Lincoln High School Class of 1966 and was co-captain of the Lincoln High School Rattlers football team. He was drafted in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a Staff Sergeant E-7, 82nd Airborne Division and retired after 20 years of service.
Charles married his high school sweetheart, Vivian Anderson Arnold in 1967 and three children were born of this union.
Departing this life he leaves to cherish his loving memories, a son, Mr. Travis Moss of the home, two daughters, Ms. Kandice Moss of Greer, SC and Ms. Kourtni Moss (Silky) of Taylors, SC; three brothers, Mr. Benny Moss of Greer, SC, Mr. Wayne Moss (Carrie) of Greer, SC and Mr. Terry Moss (Venae) of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Gilliam (Matthew) of Taylors, SC; Mrs. Janet Broadus of Brooklyn, NY and Ms. Gail Bennett of Duncan, SC; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mr. Kenneth Moss; a sister, Ms. Wilda Jean Moss and a niece, Mrs. Kylie Norris.
Charles was a loving and giving man and would help anyone in need. He was a great man of faith and overcame many demons in his life. He will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
