Charles Edward Drummond, widower of Martha E. Drummond, son of the late Thomas L. and Ruth Ballenger Drummond, passed on July 29, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a founding member of New Faith Baptist Church.  A graduate of Florence Chapel High School.  Mr. Drummond retired from Springs Industries after 45 years of service.  He was a well known and respected Barber of the community for over 50 years. He was a person of many talents who enjoyed traveling the world and his greatest passion was owning cars, especially the classic cars!

A pillar of the community; never ever had a problem with giving a helping hand to a neighbor or a friend.  He was a fantastic son, fantastic, father, uncle and friend to whomever he came in contact with.  He will forever be missed!

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children; Jacqueline Drummond-McCauley of Tampa, FL, Carolyn (Wilbur) Walker of Wellford, SC, Joann (Freddie) Mays and Debra Cohen both of Spartanburg, SC, Edward (Patricia) Cohen of Greenville, SC and Thomas Cohen of Charlotte, NC;  12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Rickey B. (Sherri) Drummond a brother Kennedy Drummond.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 7, 2020 12:00 Noon at Wellford First Baptist Church with burial in New Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.  Mr. Drummond will be available for window viewing Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 7:00PM.  For the service social distancing measures are in place for safety.  For entry a mask is required to attend funeral service on Friday.
