Greer, South Carolina

Mr. Charles A. Barton, son of the late Freddy and Annette G. Barton, passed Saturday, September 17, 2022.

He was a 1983 graduate of Greer High School.  After high school he began working at the Dry Cleaner.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports.  His favorite teams included the Washington (Redskins) Commanders.  He, also, loved to fish.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Charles include his children, Kathy Dodd-Williams and Tramellia Bell both of Greenville, SC, Anthony Barton, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC, Kashenia Davis, Braylen Barton, Montreal (Tysheka) Davis all of Greer, SC; brothers, Jeremy Barton, Tyrus Barton and Edwin (April) Barton all of Greer, SC; special friend, Freddie McGowan of Greenville, SC; step sons, Tavares McGowan, Carlos McGowan, Phillipe McGowan all of Greenville, SC; god son, Kel Jeter of Greenville, SC; great aunt, Selma Woods of Greer, SC and aunt Carolyn Wilson of Greer, SC; nine grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September23, 2022 1:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
