Obituary

Greer, SC

Carey Milus Robinson, Jr. "Big C" as he was known, was born on February 16, 1945, to the late Carey and Margaret Robinson in Spartanburg, SC. On Sunday, May 19, 2024, he retired his Superman cape and gained his eternal wings.

Milus attended Florence Chapel School. He loved to read the bible, fish, watch history channels, listen to music, complete word searches, and run behind his grandchildren. He retired from Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc with over 30 years of service. He also served as Deacon at New Start Ministries. He loved God and did not mind sharing the Word with anyone whether that was quoting scriptures, giving you a Bible, or passing a note with words of encouragement. He met no strangers and would share his words of wisdom with anyone who would listen.

He was joined in holy matrimony to his wife, Eleanor Patricia Robinson or as he like to call her, "Trish" on April 24, 1971. To this union two children were born. Milus was very proud of his family and doted on his grandchildren. He loved chauffeuring them around and did so up until the day he became sick.

Milus leaves to cherish his fond memories, his devoted wife of 53 years, Eleanor Patricia Robinson, two children: Metris (Gary) Cain of Greer, SC; Antwan (Shanita) Robinson of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren: Chanie(Johnathan), Makayla, Makenzie, Oliver, Chayse, Jeremiah, Ashton, Liam, and Emery; and two great-grandchildren: Jesse and Ila; two sisters: Brenda Spencer of Lyman, SC and Gloria Locke of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers: Daniel (Darlene) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC and Carnell (Etta) Collins, of Flower Branch, GA; sisters- in- law: Jessie Robinson of Elgin, SC, Kathleen Thomas of Greer, SC, Teresa (John) Paden of Taylors, SC, Marilyn Fuller of Forsyth, GA; a brother- in- law: Patrick (Shirley) Wood, of Taylors, SC; two aunts: Flora Robinson of Spartanburg, SC and Francis Robinson of Wellford, SC; sister-in-law: Vermal (Ellison) Moore of Jacksonville, FL and a hosts of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carey and Margaret Robinson, a brother, Boycie Robinson and two sisters, Mildred Robinson and Kathy Carr.
