Moore, South Carolina

Mr. Calvin Cohen, husband of Rachel H. Cohen, son of the late Colie Cohen Sr. and the late Josephine W. Cohen, passed Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

He was a member of Allen View United Methodist Church.  Calvin graduated from Florence Chapel High School, class of 1965.  He retired from Homelite.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, gardening and most important Bible study.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Calvin, including his wife Rachel for over 57 years, are his children, Andre' (Tanya) Cohen of Reidville, SC, Shawn Glenn of Spartanburg, SC, Kela Irby of Wellford, SC and Gerald Benson of Kansas City, KS; sister, Bessie C. (Wilbur) Taylors of Greenville, SC; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Veronica Downs; brother, Colie Cohen, Jr., sisters, Marie Cohen MacFarland and Dorothy Cohen Smith.

Public Viewing will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.  Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, 2:00 PM at Allen View United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
