Mr. Booker T. Williams, formerly of Taylors, son of the late Thomas and Susan Williams was born on March 9, 1921 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He was one of 13 children.
Booker T. Williams accepted the Lord and Savior at an early age growing up in South Carolina, which led him to be a devout member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio for more than 50 years. He dedicated much of his time to singing with the Tabernacle Baptist Church gospel chorus and male chorus, in addition to the United Male Chorus of Ohio and later with the United Male Chorus of Greenville in South Carolina.
He dedicated over 25 years to, his employer AK Steel, and was the sole proprietor of a small commercial janitorial business. Booker loved gardening and spent most of his spare time taking walks and enjoying nature and the outdoors. Booker T generously shared the fruits of his labor with many friends and family, providing them with high quality, fresh produce grown in his garden.
Booker T. Williams was preceded in death by his four children; Gregory Williams, Mitchell Williams, Alfreda Sinkfield and Geraldine Smith who paved his way to the Heavenly Kingdom of the Lord.
He is survived by 5 of his 9 children, three daughters; Jacqueline Saunders of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kassandra Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wanda Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio and two sons; Alexander Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio and Anthony Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his step son, Cliff Zimmerman.
He leaves 12 grandchildren, Wesley Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio, Courtney Tidjani , Cincinnati, Ohio, Ebony Saunders, Houston, Texas, Dione Overstreet, Cincinnati, Ohio, Garry Overstreet, Cincinnati, Ohio, Ashawnte Jackson, Cincinnati, Ohio, Kelly Smith, Cincinnati, Ohio, Maya Smith, Cincinnati, Ohio, Brandi Sinkfield of San Jose, California, Leah Williams, Houston, Texas, Chanel Williams, Cincinnati, Ohio, Alexander Williams Jr. ,Cincinnati, Ohio; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 1:00PM Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Visitation prior to funeral beginning 12:00 Noon until 12:45PM
