Wellford, SC

Betty Lee W. Reid, widow of David Reid, daughter of the late Wales and Annie Bell B. Watson, passed on February 15, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

She was a member of New Trinity Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher.  She was the Co-Founder of Reid's Residential Care in Wellford, South Carolina.  Member of the O. E. S. Chapter # 259.  In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and shopping.

Her legacy will continue in the lives left behind; those include her children Ralph (Ondrea) Reid of Lyman, SC, Roy Reid and Judy (Garvin) Daniels both of Wellford, SC, Diane (Ray) Martin of Taylors, SC and Magdalene Dupree of Greer, SC 19 grandchildren including, Donna Moss, LaKeitra McMillian, Brittney Murphy and Damiya McMillian who were reared in the home; 31 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, David J. Reid, Jr., twin sister Betty R. Henderson and sister Mary W. Moore, brothers Herman Watson and Jessie Watson, grandson Randall Daniels and great grandson Damian McMillian, Jr.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 11:00 AM at First Baptist of Wellford.  The family will have a visitation for the friends to come by and speak to them from 10:00AM until 10:45AM prior to the service.  Burial will take place in Fort Prince Cemetery.
