Mrs. Betty Lou Pearson, widow of Frank Pearson, daughter of the late James and Susie Bell Hunter Murriel, Sr., passed Saturday, November 12, 2016.

Dedicated and faithful member of New Trinity Baptist Church; where she song on the gospel choir. Graduate and Salutatorian of Florence Chapel High School. Former employee with J. P. Stevens. Retired employee with Denny's Corp as a benefits coordinator. During her spare time she enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching sports, cheerleading, majorette in high school she lettered in basketball. Member of the Silver Strands Senior Ministry of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a dedicated member of the City of Spartanburg MLK gospel choir.

Left to cherish fond and moving memories are her children Timothy Dwayne Pearson of Duncan, SC, Latese Michelle Pearson of Greer, SC; stepson Rodney Maurice (Chandra) Watson of Roebuck, SC; grandchild Tierriany Alexis Thompson of Spartanburg, SC; sister Lula B. (Robert) Anderson of Duncan, SC; stepgrands Rashaud Watson of Duncan, SC, Tynasha Shana Jeter of Roebuck, SC; step great grands Avery Madison Smales-Jeter of Roebuck, SC and Kaydence Watson of Lancaster, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother James Murriel, Jr and grand daughter Teshawna Yvette Thompson.

Funeral service Sunday, November 20, 2016 2:00 PM New Trinity Baptist Church with burial in Westwood Memorial Gardens. Family Visitation at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.
