Mrs. Barbara Henderson, wife of Jyrel Henderson, daughter of the late Matthew and Constance Wright Irby passed Thursday, August 13, 2026.  

Shew as a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.  She graduated from Florence Chapel High School, class of 1965.  After high school, she attended Clemson University.  She's widely known for her cosmetology skills.  Formerly owning Barbara's Beauty Rama.   She was an artist to many heads; with every cut, wash and curl she provided.  Providing wisdom, knowledge, a smile or just a listening ear!  Those who were close to Mrs. Barb, knew her love for line dancing, partying, doing hair, taking care of people, decorating, traveling and spending time with her family.

Her legacy will forever continue in the lives of those she touched; including her husband Jyrel of over 57 years; her son, Derrick Collins of Greenville, SC; her special nieces April Burton of Irmo, SC, Crystal Irby of Spartanburg, SC and Tosh Irby-Zaleski of Dacula, GA; special nephew, Ishmael Lateef; her 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family; which included 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, 11:00AM at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at the church until the service hour.  Please keep the Henderson family in your prayers.
