Mrs. Annie Lue Morton, widow of Eugene Morton, daughter of the late Abraham and Evelyn Switzer Smith, passed Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, remembering Mrs. Annie, you would always see her with her black purse in hand. She was a licensed Cosmetologist. She retired from Springs Industries with many years of service. In her spare time she loved to crochet, sew, garden and being a caregiver.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her five children, Joseph (Tracy) Morton, Kenneth (Demetra) Morton, Marilyn Hunter, Wanda Miller and Lisa Morton; her 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother in law, Lewis (Betty) Morton and one sister in law Lillie Mae Morton and a host of other family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband Eugene, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a son in law.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 24, 2021 12:00 Noon at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial in Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will take place Friday, April 23, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00PM in the viewing window at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
CDC rules are still in place, and limited seating will be allowed in the mortuary for the day of the service. Mask required for entry and must be worn at all times.
