Wellford, SC

Mrs. Annie Mae Barton widow of Mr. Loumes Barton was born Spartanburg County to the late Mr. Vernon and Thelma Evans Nesbitt of Wellford, SC on June 1, 1933 and departed her life on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

She was a faithful member at New Trinity Baptist Church in Lyman, SC where she sung on the Senior Choir ministry. Mrs. Annie was a graduate of Florence Chapel School. She retired from United Cloth in 1996 after 13 years of service.

Precious memories will linger in the hearts of her loving daughter, Patricia Nesbitt of Tucker, GA; a son, Warren Nesbitt of the home; three grandchildren, Justin Roberts of Atlanta, GA, Demetrius McClintock of Greenville, SC and Michelle Wilkins of Boiling Springs, SC and three great-grandchildren; a special niece, a special nephew, Kent Nesbitt of Wellford, SC; great-niece, Shatasha N. Ward and great-nephew, Lee Nesbitt Jr. both of Louisville, Kentucky and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Juanita N. Gore of Wellford, SC; three brothers, Mr. Eugene, Mr. Homer and Mr. James Nesbitt all of Wellford, SC; a nephew, Mr. Lee Nesbitt, Sr. of Wellford, SC.

Funeral service Saturday, August 28, 2021 1:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc. with burial in New Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.  Viewing will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2021 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM.  Mask required for entry and must be worn the entire time while in the mortuary.  Limited seating.
