Deacon Andrew Mims, Jr., husband of Bobbie J. Mims, son of the late Andrew and Hattie Mims, Sr., passed Sunday, December 8, 2024.

He was a faithful member of New Faith Baptist Church.  There he served on the Deacon Ministry.  He was a graduate of Florence Chapel High School.  After high school, he began his pursuit in Upholstery Industry.  Leading him to owning his own business Andrew Mims Upholstery Shop.  In his spare time, he loved upholstery and decorating, teaching Sunday School, reading the Bible and spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Deacon Andrew include his wife Bobbie J. Mims for over 66 years; his children, Ray (Drusilla) Mims of North Augusta, SC, Angella (Gerald) Littlejohn of Spartanburg, SC and Adrian (Crystal) Mims of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Gerika B. Littlejohn of Columbia, SC, Angella N. Littlejohn of Spartanburg, SC, Logan E. Mims and Adrian B. Mims, Jr., both of Boston, MA and Gerald Vincent Littlejohn, Jr., of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Elnita (Benjamin) Smith of Columbus, GA and Epsylean Evans of Wellford, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty J. Prescott.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 1:00PM at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with burial to follow in New Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.  Public viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel.  Please keep the Mims family in your prayers.
